The Journey (EXHIBIT)

This is it the most awaited part of our portfolio. With this our teamwork and the cooperation from each other, I believe that we have the best result. In this exhibit, that was held in the Multimedia Room last July 22, 2015, our instructor invited some students and the faculty members of the College of Education, and this how the story goes...

the story begins with... OBJECTIVES!!

Almost half of he entire time of preparation was spend on this.. CREATING OUR OBJECTIVES. At first we're all like fire and water, IMPOSSIBLE TO BE COMBINED. Our ideas does not really alligned to each other so we did a lot of brainstorming here. Anyway creating objectives should be like that, it should be exact and proper.

The Problem

There are Grade 7 students who are studying negative numbers. Unfortunately, it harfor the students to really see the practicality and application of Negative Numbers. They are confused about the concepts of negative numbers. The challenge is we have to make ways, as educators, to solve this problem with the help of Instructional Media Materials.

OBJECTIVES

After the class the students will:

  • define negative numbers.

  • use the concepts of negative number in problem-solving.

  • relate negative numbers to real-life situation.

after the objectives... preparation day!

Before going into war of course we must have our weapons. Before the exhibit, everything must be preapred, praparation of materials needed can be a traditional media, projected media or digital media. Aside drom our personal busy schedules the absence of electricity is one of our problem. We can't extend the time but we can manage it. So, we have to go outside for printing and buying some of the materials. We even planned to go to SM for a free internet :) . We met at gazebo and in the Multimedia room to preapare all our media nedeed. In the end end, we finished and prapred a chart, realia, game, video and a website.

OUR CHART

OUR GAME

during the exhibit..

"NAKAKA-KABA", this is what we usually feel during the finals or any examinations. We were prepared and here comes the visitors! To find out they are not only COE students but Sir invited the the faculty also. There are lots of agonies but still we can see how they learn from our prepared materials. I facilitate the game and the video, Egee is on the thermometer and Jay-R and Judy Mae are responsible in presenting the chart and our website. Personally I am very satisfied and I learned a lot too.

exhibit day..

after the exhibit..

I really have a lot of reflection. The best thing reminded me about the exhibit is my career someday. I understand more that teaching is very hard and serious job but ABSOLUTELY FUN and FULFILLING. The teachers and the students made a great comment on our works and we are very happy on that. I think it would be better if we have a bigger number of visitor and longer time. It is vey N.W.C.E.M.H. - no word can explain my happiness.
